Our team recognizes that we are shepherds and desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

JJ Mannschreck, Lead Pastor
Pastor JJ grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, graduating from Troy Athens High School in 2006. From there he headed off to Calvin College in Grand Rapids (where he met his lovely wife). After graduating from Calvin with a degree in Religion, Philosophy and Music of Worship, he headed off to Garrett-Evangelical Theological seminary in Chicago to receive his Masters degree. From Chicago God called them to move up into the middle of the U.P. to serve at Wesley UMC for four years before he arrived in Flushing, MI.
Jeanne Wisenbaugh, Pastor of Congregational Care
Jeanne was ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) after graduating from Lexington Theological Seminary in 1996. Jeanne is mom to Patricia, Arlie, William and Bonnie, whose ages range from 8 to 15. Jeanne and her family began attending Flushing United Methodist Church early in 2009. In August of the same year, she came on staff at FUMC. Prior to her call to ministry, Jeanne was an elementary teacher earning her degree from the University of Michigan. When not busy with church work and driving taxi for her kids, she enjoys reading and creative arts. She is a wannabe gardener with vegan dreams.

Rose Dessinger, Office Manager
Rose has a background of bookkeeping and computers and as an office manager for 15 years. She has been a member of Flushing United Methodist church since 2009 and currently serves as a Stephen Ministry Leader, choir member and UMW member. She was born in Rochester, New York and moved to Flushing in 2000 to be married to her husband, Bill. Together, they have owned a property preservation company in the mortage industry for 15 years.
Christie Dover, Music Coordinator/Organist/Choir Director
Christie Dover has a BA in Music Therapy and a Masters of Social Work from Michigan State University. She has played the organ for Asbury United Methodist Church in Lansing, Oak Park United Methodist Church, Flushing Presbyterian Church, and was hired to be on staff at FUMC in the late 1980s. In addition to her responsibilities at FUMC, she also is the accompanist for Carman-Ainsworth High School choirs, has played for many Swartz Creek Center Stage productions, and teaches private piano lessons.
