Our Staff

Our team recognizes that we are shepherds and desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

JJ Mannschreck, Lead Pastor

Pastor JJ grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, graduating from Troy Athens High School in 2006. From there he headed off to Calvin College in Grand Rapids (where he met his lovely wife). After graduating from Calvin with a degree in Religion, Philosophy and Music of Worship, he headed off to Garrett-Evangelical Theological seminary in Chicago to receive his Masters degree. From Chicago God called them to move up into the middle of the U.P. to serve at Wesley UMC for four years before he arrived in Flushing, MI. In 2011, he married his incredible wife Sara. Since then they have added two cats, two dogs, and three children to their little family. Their sons are Liam, Amos and Ezra. They thank God everyday for each of them. When he’s not working in the church JJ enjoys reading, lots of music (both listening AND playing), as well as jogging and watching (probably too many) movies. Email: pastor@flushingumc.org
